Alastair Greene

Alastair Greene is a guitarist/singer/songwriter based out of Santa Barbara California who plays blues-influenced rock much in the same vein as Led Zeppelin, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Allman Brothers Band, etc,..

He has performed and/or recorded with a number of Southern California bands and artists over the years including: Scarecrow, Spitting Bull, The Pontiax, The Bomb, Preston, Wally Ingram, Mahli McGee, Morganfield Burnett and The Blues, to name a few. His guitar playing can be heard on albums by such Santa Barbara area artists as Les Benson, Bad Astronaut, Kirstin Candy, Claude Hopper, Evil Farmer, and has just released his first full length album under his own name entitled A Little Wiser.

Joining him on A Little Wiser is the monstrous rhythm section of Tom Lackner (Drums) and Jack Kennedy (Bass). The CD also features guest performances by Mitch Kashmar (Harmonica) and Jim Calire (Hammond Organ). A Little Wiser features 9 original songs with a couple solid blues covers thrown in for good measure. Fans of blues and blues-influenced rock will be thrilled as soon as they hit "play" and crank up A Little Wiser.

The Alastair Greene Band has shared the stage with such artists as John Mayall And The Bluesbreakers, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Lonnie Brooks, and Robin Trower as well as playing many other shows around Southern California.
